My fight with Cancer

• In the month of September 2018 I had noticed a depression on my right breast. Did not give much importance to it.
• On 4 Nov I went to Dr. Mandira Sharma and asked her to examine me physically. She instantaneous advised Mammography followed by FNAC. Both were done on 5 Nov 2018 and I was confirmed positive for Breast Cancer.
• Now my fight begins: I met Oncologist Dr. Vivek Garg same evening. It was decided that my physical fitness would be done on 6 Nov and operation on 9 Nov. All parameters were good but the anxiety had shot my Blood Sugar and the Doctor refused to operate.  
• For my first Chemotherapy on 12 Dec my friend Tanuja had come from Bangalore. She left after 10 days. After that I designed and created a lot of kurtas for myself. Whenever my friends visited, they were more interested in seeing my new creativity rather than talking about my problem. So I never felt that I was sick. 
• I have been a teacher all my life. In the month of Jan 2019, children started coming back to me to be taught. I was normal now, as I was back to my routine.
•  With such type of routine I did not much realize the effect of the six cycles of Chemotherapy which came to an end on 28 March 2019. 
• The Radiotherapy started in April ‘19 and will continue till mid June.I was a workaholic. Either I was in the class or would be conducting camps in different cities or attending to all the sick people in the family. This was God’s way of making me rest. I needed time for introspection, which was now available in abundance.
